I started Pilates in 2000 with so much back pain it was hard for me to turn over in bed at night without crying. I could not heal myself with conventional methods even with all my background and training. So I tried Pilates and after the first week, my back began to feel better. It took a while, but now I live pain free. This is why Pilates Central exists. Plus it is great fun!!
Meet the staff:
Kat was born in New Jersey and moved to Boulder when she was 11. Having been blessed by such a beautiful place, she sought a life of spiritual encouragement through developing internal and external strength. She was drawn to Pilates because of the strong emphasis of the body and mind connection. Having experienced Pilates in her own body and enjoying the benefits of movement, Kat decided to teach Pilates to others. Kat studied AeroPilates under June Kahn’s Bodyworks. She specializes in the Reformer and continues to strengthen her development on the other equipment. She has realized that the transformation that individuals experience through physical, emotional and spiritual growth is priceless. Her hope is to combine her experience and education to teach with rhythm and flow while encouraging mindful movement and optimal body alignment.
Erica was born in Colorado and studied to become a Physical Therapy Assistant. She moved to the Czech Republic and opened her own Physical Therapy/Pilates Studio. While in Czech, she had the opportunity to train Barbara Bush. She is back in the USA and teaching at Pilates Central. Erica focuses on form and building strength from the inside out. In her free time, Erica loves running, hiking, biking and spending time with her 2 children.
Casey has worked in the Fitness industry for 20 years as a group exercise instructor, personal trainer and a Pilates trainer. She really feels that Pilates is the “missing link” in strengthening the entire body and that Pilates should be incorporated into everyone’s exercise program! Casey has a Marketing degree from Radford University in Virginia. She and her family moved out of the Northern VA area to Westminster, Colorado 14 years ago and they love it here!
Sherri has been teaching Pilates since 2005.
